My husband and I were staying at a B&B in the area and stopped here looking for a lunch spot. We were skeptical coming in and even made a joke about pizza places "upstate" but we were SO WRONG!

I grew up on LI and my entire heritage is italian so I pride myself in knowing good pizza and this was one of the best slices I've ever had hands down. the crust was PERFECT - not too thick and doughy and not too thin and crispy. The sauce - arguably the most important aspect of the pizza was delicious - was delicious. I hate sauces on the sweet side and this was not sweet, it was beautifully seasoned. Afterwards we decided it would be a fun day trip to come back and introduce friends to as one of those places that has "the best pizza ever"

I don't know what has less soul, the pizza, or the people who work there. Either way, they are both equally bad.

We stopped in for lunch. Only one person working. He didn't speak very good English and had trouble understanding our sub order. No bathrooms at this restaurant. We asked and they didn't have any. So gross. We walked out.

    Pros-

    1. Just $12 and change for a one topping large pie.
    2.  Greek-owned; always a sign of quality.
    3.  I like the vintage pay phone even though it does not work.
    4.  The vintage linoleum is oddly cool too.

    Cons-

    1. Both cans of Diet Pepsi had expired two months prior to today's date.
    2.  Pizza is somewhat bland; the sausage topping saved it.  I remember the pizza here tasting pretty good.
    3.  Cash only, which I am ok with but the place charges sales tax.  Do Greek people pay taxes?

Pizza is ok. Not what I would consider great NY pizza but is top 3 for the local area. Does not accept anything but cash.
